Massage it is a great way of relaxing the body as it helps to drain away the toxins and it will allow for the release of muscle tension. The techniques I use during my treatments will help to increase blood and lymph flow, so muscles can operate at full capacity.

Massage is designed to alleviate muscle stresses and strains caused by intensive training or regular sports activity, improving your performance and reducing recovery time post-injury. Regular massage will transform both your training and sports performance, with many additional benefits including better sleep quality and reduced stress.

Massage is NOT just for athletes, however!
massage is also beneficial for injuries, chronic pain, muscle aches, and restricted range of motion in all of us, perfect for office workers or those with physically demanding jobs.

I am a highly trained massage therapist and  provide a deeply relaxing and restorative massage treatment, where I will iron out any pains and strains caused by exercise or the physical stresses of daily life. I will ask about any problem areas to ensure that you get the most out of your session. A course of massage therapy can be an invaluable tool in helping the body deal with the physical stresses brought about by high-intensity activity or strenuous sports.

As well as helping the body to recover from any injuries incurred as a result of strenuous physical activity. A course of therapy also has a role to play in any athlete or sportspersons long-term injury prevention strategy and will bolster their health and fitness routine.

Setting aside time for regular massage treatment can help to improve performance, mobility, and overall long-term well-being. We also recommend consulting our sports massage therapists alongside physiotherapists or osteopaths.  Our therapists are highly qualified and well versed in both anatomy and physiology.

The physical sports massage benefits of sports therapy include:

Pain reduction

Sports massage therapy removes the tension and waste products in the body which cause pain, as well as helping to release the body’s natural endorphins.

Improved circulation

Our soft tissue therapists utilise bodywork techniques that help increase muscular blood flow, allowing nutrients to pass through to them more easily. Through this process, muscle soreness can be reduced.

Improved flexibility and mobility

Our Sports massage and soft tissue therapists additionally perform manipulation and stretches on the muscle fibres and connective tissues, with the aim of releasing stress and built-up pressure. Intense sports training can cause tissues to become hard and inflexible. Stretching the muscle tissues can help to reverse this inflexibility.

Reducing stress and anxiety

Sports massage therapy is useful for reducing anxiety and stress, which helps to improve mood and overall sports performance.
